Gday guys,
I need help speeding my uploads up. My files are currently uploading to Gdrive at a fluctuating speed which ranges from 198KB/s up to 2.2MB/s. I have it set to 10 uploads at a time and my connection is 30Mb/s upload. The fluctuating is happening quite quickly also, going from the lowest to highest speed and back again every few seconds. What would be the reason for this and is there a solution? Cheers in advance

There is a certain "overhead" communication per file.
For small files this overhead can easily become bigger than the small files themselves, and hence slow down the data transfer. So, can expect big files to be transferred at substantially higher data rate than small files.

Cloud storage also does its own syncing and other processes that can slow down file transfers. Large files will transfer faster than many small files as well
