sync speeds

The sync process seems to take long. Earlier today I tried to sync 40mb worth of files and it took over 30 minutes. I am not sure if it is a setting issue but the process starts and then seems to lag for long periods only to kick in at intervals. But it is wildly inconsistent. I did not have these problems in ubuntu but now in Windows the delays are significant. To sync only a few small files often takes several minutes.

What are you syncing from and to? How many files?
