Hello

I've been using FFS for a while now, on both windows and linux (Fedora). I used to use the CentOS version to get it to run on Fedora. But there is no CentOS version for the 7.6 release. Will you continue to pre-compile FFS for CentOS, or do I have to dig into the mess of compiling from source ? ;)

Anyway, thanks a lot for this wonderful piece of software !

The problem is, FFS doesn't compile with GCC 4.8 that is shipped with the latest CentOS, same problem for OpenSuse. Then both these OSes have far less users than Debian and Ubuntu which ship GCC 5.2. So official pre-compiled version will probably be available again, but not before the next OS updates.

Thanks for the quick reply !
That's perfectly understandable ... I'll stick to FFS 7.5 and check from time to time for a version that would run on my Fedora 23.
Keep up the good work !

Hi,

Sorry to bring up an older thread but the status of gcc has now changed. GCC is now at version 5.3.1 on fedora 23. Any chance at a regularly scheduled build for centos/Fedora/RHEL linux users?

[root@linuxbox /]# dnf info gcc
Name : gcc
Arch : x86_64
Epoch : 0
Version : 5.3.1
Release : 6.fc23
Size : 19 M
Repo : updates
Summary : Various compilers (C, C++, Objective-C, Java, ...)
URL : http://gcc.gnu.org
License : GPLv3+ and GPLv3+ with exceptions and GPLv2+ with exceptions and LGPLv2+ and BSD
Description : The gcc package contains the GNU Compiler Collection version 5.
: You'll need this package in order to compile C code.

I notice that the last version of compiled FFS for Centos was FFS 7.5. on 1 Sept 2015. I understand that it is a lot of extra work and that there are fewer users of it, however isn't there a chance of a build for Centos/Fedora/RHEL users ?

Thank you for an excellent package. Use it a lot on Windows.
