A few days ago, I thought maybe I could modify the source code to add new features for the Windows version of the FreeFileSync and I started my adventure on compiling the source code for the Windows platform, however, it turned out that the source code downloaded from the official site is not for Windows. There are many linux-specific APIs in the code that makes it impossible to be directly compiled for Windows. You'll have to deal with the porting such as GUID generation, symlink, getsid ... and many others that made me so frustated to abort. I can tell that the source code available for download does not include the Windows version.
Hope the Windows version could be open source as well!
