Hi
I am a new user of FFS, and like it.
I have set up a backup of two folder pairs:
C:\Users\Fred\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail ->
E:\FredsLaptop\Backup\Fred\Windows Live Mail
C:\Users\Fred -> E:\FredsLaptop\Backup\Fred
When I try to sync I get:
"A folder will be modified which is part of multiple folder pairs. Please
review synchronisation settings.
'E:\FredsLaptop\Backup\Fred\Windows Live Mail\' "
Please will you explain this error and how to get around it?

E:\FredsLaptop\Backup\Fred\Windows Live Mail\ is a subdirectory of
"E:\FredsLaptop\Backup\Fred", so it will be written to in both folder pairs.
Your first folder pair is redundant.
"E:\FredsLaptop\Backup\Fred", so it will be written to in both folder pairs.
Your first folder pair is redundant.
My reason for doing that was that I wanted to apply versioning to:
C:\Users\Fred
but not to:
C:\Users\Fred\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail
I guess that is not possible in a single configuration?
One other question, I know you support:
*temp*
to exclude folders containing temp somewhere in their path. Do you support:
*temp*\*.tmp
?
With the intention of excluding files such as:
mydir\temp\*.tmp
?

In this case you can keep your two folder pairs, but you should exclude
"AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail" from the second folder pair, so
that your pairs don't overlap during sync.

Yes, this works.
