Hello
Platform W10 (64)
FFS 11 (donation)
I try to sync from a local disk (G:) to a network mounted disk (V: which is a Win Server 2019 shared disk) and quite early on in the sync process the network stack in my Win 10 machine completely unloads. No more network connectivity. No amount of Admin CMD Net reset commands make it come back. This is 100% predictable and reproducible on my W10 PC. It requires a full PC showdown to recover
Any ideas why this occurs?
Sync between local disk and network mounted disk (SMB) results in network stack being completely unloaded

Hi glenstar,
here below some tests I would do:
1) try to disable antivirus and any active firewall like Comodo during sync.
2) try to sync a different disk (so with different content).
If 1) gives positive result, scan your PC for any malware that could attack the shared folder when you insert the credentials to access it.
If 2) gives positive result, try to find any content on the source disk G: that could be considered armful by an antivirus.
Just to understand more about the network stack, if you ping 127.0.0.1 do you receive no response?
If you run the "ipconfig /all" from admin command prompt, what do you see?
Does your PC still have an IP address?
Did you try to release (ipconfig /release) and renew (ipconfig /renew) the IP?
What about "route print" and "arp -a -v" ran before and after the lost of the stack?
Can you see any change?
bye
Daniele
