updated to v5.3 - one drive is fat32 the other is NTFS - mirror settings by
file time and size
I thought this was fixed with the daylight savings time difference and so
forth????
why do I have to overwrite every existing file that is the same file name and
size (just guessed its different via the daylight savings time since its the
same file on both)
but FFS is wanting to overwrite the file completely (instead of just the
attributes of the time or whatever FFS does to make the file "look" the same
in every way, even though it is the same file)
overwriting takes a long long time for lots of data...instead of just
"attaching" or whatever FFS does to the time difference attributes of the
drive being mirrored...
I had the ignore 1 hour difference checked on the older older version and I
thought in v5.2 (on a different computer) it just added something so that FFS
wouldnt have to overwrite the exact same files with a different time stamp...
thanks for helping me understand and fix this issue...much appreciated!!! love
FFS...

This version must be an antique, this setting is long gone. Recent versions of
FFS solve the FAT32 DST and time-zone design issues automatically by a
different algorithm. But they require an initial full sync. You can test it by
changing your system time back and forth, FFS will keep the modification time
on FAT that it sees on first comparison.
