Cannot Exclude Temporarily Topmost Directory Tree

(First time looking at newer FFS, so first time seeing the "tree"...)

Say I've got a directory structure like:
C:\DEV
+---Acrobat
+---AutoHotKey
+---BACKUP
|   +---Directory Compare
|   +---FFS_PROFILES
|   +---FreeFileSync---85
|   +---FreeFileSync_XP
+---BITWARE
+---CALENDAR
+---CLCL clipboard
+---CODECS
|   +---CCCP
|   +---GSpot
|   +---MediaInfo
|   \---MediaInfo_CL
+---DUPLICATE
|   +---AllDup.X
|   +---AllDup4
|   +---AllDup432
|   +---AllDup_commandline
|   +---AllDup_v3424
|   +---CloneSpy
|   +---DiskAnPro
|   +---Dupeless
|   +---DuplicateCleaner
|   +---DuplicateCleaner_147
|   +---EasyDuplicateFinder
|   +---Mindgems - FastDuplicateFileFinder
|   +---Rashid DupSetup
+---EDIT
|   +---EditPadLite7
|   +---Notepad++
|   \---Win32Pad
In earlier FFS, pre-tree I suppose, if I wanted to Temporarily Exclude an entire directory branch from a sync, I could simply hit the space bar on the topmost branch & that would prune the entire branch.

I'm not seeing a way to do that in (11.5) - only limb by limb.

Say I wanted to remove the entire DUPLICATE directory tree, previously, I'd click on DUPLICATE & that whole tree is removed.

Currently, DUPLICATE (itself) is not shown, instead:
DUPLICATE\Alldup.X
...
DUPLICATE\Rashid DupSetup

As is, I'm not finding an easy way to prune the entire DUPLICATE branch.
I can hit <space> on DUPLICATE\Alldup.X & its' tree will be gone.
I can hit <space> on DUPLICATE\Rashid DupSetup & its' tree will be gone.

Or I can <select> DUPLICATE\Alldup.X & then Shift+Click DUPLICATE\Rashid DupSetup (or any other similar method), & while in the end that would accomplish what I want, it is far less convenient compared to simply hitting the <space> on \DUPLICATE\ itself.
Never mind.
You can do the above.
Only what you see (or don't see) may be affected by Filtering that is enabled (or not).
Like if you disable 'Show files that are equal' (a typical setting that I would use), & if the same (topmost) branch exits on both the left & right hand sides, then that (topmost) branch will not display - even if limbs off of that branch do differ.

OK.

Can confirm it still works that way but display filters can cause things to look weird
