Hello,
the comparison hangs often at different places and then does not run further. Currently for about an hour with the same file.
What could be the reason for this and where could I look to find the cause?
Manjaro Linux (GNOME)
Mounted QNAP NAS SMB Share per fstab/Local PC -> Source
USB 3 HDD -> Destination
Thanks a lot!
Greetings

Is it the same file every time it gets stuck? Exclude it if so, see what happens

What type of comparison are you speaking of?the comparison hangs
When it is selecting files? What comparison method (& other settings) are you using?
Or are comparing files after the fact, or?
Any reason particular files might be opened & locked (elsewhere)?
Are you able to "compare" (in whatever context you're speaking of) outside of FFS?
So if it's a content compare, can the same two files be content compared in some other utility?
Anything peculiar with the particular files?

Check SMART data of the drive(s) using something like GSmart, disk sentinal, or crystalmarkinfo
