hi,
today I'm getting stuck at 100% after comparing and synchronizing,
it lasts for some time before giving control back to the operating system,
what could this be related to?
maybe yesterday's patch tuesday windows update?
my operating system is windows 8.1 and my antivirus is kaspersky,
if this could be due to this
stuck at 100%

Wow, I think one of my syncs (on Devuan GNU+Linux) the other day also had a malfunction after finishing. The little window that announces status showed "Completed" in the titlebar, but the main part of this window was completely blank. Is that what happened to you?
There was no "Close" or "OK" button, whichever it is, but I was able to click the little X button in the upper right to close the sub-window and return to the main program window.

mine is stuck in:
and it halts there for exactly 2 minutes!!!
I paused the protection for my a/v and same result
(don't bother with "ignore errors" I have on that screenshot, same issue with it on and no particular error is reported, just an annoying delay of 2 minutes, I even managed to disconnect an external source (which I synced to of course) successfully before and FFS didn't even block it,
what does @Zenju have to say about this?
(I also didn't sync 31gb, as in the picture, this is reported because my other external source is disconnected, this happens even if FFS doesn't have anything to sync)
I don't remember it happening a while ago, should be related to one of the last updates
edit: I went back to version 11.0 and the problem remains,
so it's either a long-running one (strange I hadn't noticed it?) or it could be related to yesterday's windows update? I don't know, nor can I tell

Something is wrong with H:\
It lost the connection to it and is trying to re-establish it

I don't think so because as I've said it happens each and every time in the end

I've just run it and it stuck at "searching for old file versions",
here's a screenshot from a process monitor

How did you determine that FFS is stuck "searching for old file versions"?
Your process monitor does not show that. Is it listed in the FFS log?
But if FFS is actually stuck "searching for old file versions", your problem may be related to selecting Versioning as your Delete Files method, and the specified Versioning location not being available/accessable.

Your picture literally says 0.00% and ~31GB remaining, but whatever. Glad you fixed it with the easiest and first troubleshooting step

I told you 31gb remaining isn't true,
I guess one of the interface quirks that need to be fixed,
it says so because my 2nd synced device isn't connected at the time of syncing
(and I do this a lot, some of my scripts contain 2 devices and
I connect the 2nd one rarely)
