Question: I have a couple 2TB drives that are very close to their limit, i.e.
about 10GB available on each. I did a comparison and need to overwrite about
250GB of files on the backup. Even though no new files are being added, FFS
shows an error message after overwriting 10GB of files. I then have to abort
and begin again the synchronization, and repeat the process every time it
sends 10GB to the backup. Is there any way to get the program to recognize
that all it is doing is overwriting existing files, and therefore there is no
need for any more free space on the target drive? Hope I'm putting this
clearly. Thanks all, Sean Burke
P.S. Let me also add to whoever is responsible that I consider FreeFileSync to
be literally the best software I've ever used, in terms of its usefulness,
ease of use, etc.

If you disable Menu->GlobalSettings: "transactional file copy" this should do
the trick. FFS will not write a temporary file first, but directly overwrite
the target files.
