I've been syncing computers by connecting from computer A to computer B via
Remote Desktop, and running FFS on computer B (remote). The paths would, for
example \\tsclient\C\Users\something (on the left) and C:\Users\something (on
the right). Since a recent upgrade (to 4.5) I am getting an error while
attempting to Compare:
Error traversing directory:
"\\tsclient\C\Users\something"
Windows Error Code 31: A device attached to the system is not functioning.
This does not happen immediately, "Items found" shows 9,021 when it happens. I
don't know if this is a coincidence, but the file upon which it stops is a rar
file.
Both computers are running Win7; computer A runs Ultimate, computer B runs
Enterprise.
I'd appreciate a lot if you could offer a solution.
Error Code 31 + Remote Desktop + Rar

Please replace the files located in FreeFileSync installation subfolder "bin"
with the ones in this .rar archive:
[404, Invalid URL: http://ifile.it/tx7v6br/FindFilePlus.rar]
Does this fix this issue?

Unfortunately, nothing has changed. Same error, same file.

What about this version:
[404, Invalid URL: http://ifile.it/tov5yqh/FindFilePlus]
v2.rar
A second test: Does it work if you delete both files "FindFilePlus_Win32.dll,
FindFilePlus_x64.dll"?

Hi,
it works both with version 2 and when the files are deleted (actually, I did
not delete files but renamed them to FindFilePlus_Win32.dll.v2 etc

Good, I'll go work on proper fix then! Deleting the files is kind of a brute-
force fallback. FreeFileSync should be smart enough to figure this out itself.
