I am hoping someone can help me with this...
I think the functionality of FreeFileSync and RealtimeSync is exactly what I
am looking for, but unfortunately I know nothing about Command Lines.
Could someone please tell me how to set this up so that I can syncronize my
files in realtime?

Remote DIrectory: H:\Remote
Thanks in advance.

I have already read this and it does not make sense to me.
I have added the source and target directory information and when it comes to
the command line I don't know what to do.
I attempted to put in the information that is shown in the example and all I
get is a dialogue box that says "File does not exist: "C:\SyncJob.ffsIbatch""
and then launches FreeFileSync.

For a quick start import a *.ffs_batch file via Menu -> File -> Load
configuration and adapt minimum idle time.
Press start and you're done.
To remember this configuration you can save it as a *.ffs_real file, and to
automatically start RealtimeSync, pass this .ffs_real file to RealtimeSync.exe
as first argument.

Is there something about the helpfile that could/should be improved?

I am having the same issue. I am not clear on what to put into the command
line. There is no load configuration saved for quick start. I click file, load
configuration and it takes me to my documents which contains no .ffs anything.
I go look into program files, freefilesync and the only folders visible are
bin and languages and again no .ffs in sight. I tried saving a load
configuration from freefilesync before looking for it from RealTimeSync, but
that does not work.

I don't see where the problem is. Of course you need to know yourself where
you saved a .ffs_batch file on hard disk, before you open it in RTS ... !?

The problem is it doesn't seem to save a batch file As I mentioned there isnt
a .ffs file anywhere When I click save configuration in FFS the file it saves
is not a batch file and is not visible when trying to find it with load
configuration. When I click on the "saved configuration" through windows it
just loads freefilesync.

Okay, I think I understand. RTS doesn't work on ffs_gui files, but requires
ffs_batch or ffs_real files as input. From a high-level perspective RTS is
even FFS-agnostic, but simply does as advertized, namely monitor directories
and execute some random command. But since it will almost always be used to
start ffs_batch files, you can load these, too (as a convenience).

I need my folders to automatically sync and RTS seems to be the way, but there
is a key step missing in the set up. So the question is
1. How do you create the file required for the command line?
or
2. Can the command be manually entered and if so, what is the command?
Thanks.

You create a ffs_batch job via FreeFileSync, then load it into RealtimeSync.

AHHHHH! I found it. Advanced>create batch job
It worked, it scanned and shows monitoring active. Is this the end of set up
and everyday it will automatically monitor or is this something that is going
have to be started everyday?

RealtimeSync needs to be started when the OS boots. So best put it as a link
into autostart and add the .ffs_batch file as argument.
I'm currently reworking the helpfile, but you'll find most of this explained
already there.
