Hallo,
I am very happy user of FreeFileSync, but after 3 days of batch scripting, my
final script can't be properly done.
The problem is situated in FTP mapped to drive letter.
When mount my FTP drive and set, let's say, my right site to s:\something,
right above this textbox is my path translated into \\ADVirtualDisk\something.
Inside of my *.ffs_batch is drive letter S:, but still, it launches with
\\ADVirtualDisk and then throw an error that directory is not found. :(
I am probably using different mapping application than other users,
but I would be so pleased if I can actually use it with FFS..
Thank you for reply,
Polo

How exactly did you do the mounting? Do you by chance have some test-account
where I could test this?

SOLVED!
It was Adobe Photoshop CS4 related problem. How I solved it:
1) goto Control Panel
2) Uninstall a Program
3) Doubleclick Adobe Photoshop CS4
4) Choose Adobe Drive CS4 component and uninstall
5) Restart, and you are done! :)
Unfortunately, it throws me now different error, but it is not related to this
topic, so I am moving to corresponding one.

Adobe Photoshop CS4.... of course, what else could cause issues with
synchronizing to FTP drives.... ;) I'll try to remember this when I encounter
the next mysterious error.

Still, is it possible to disable UNC transformation? When using for example
WebDrive, it mounts FTP to drive latter, but also to UNC. So then, FFS trys to
get to target location by UNC, but it is somehow not possible to reach it that
way.. :(

You're right, the UNC path WebDrive reports to the system is invalid. I'm not
sure to which degree this is a bug/questionable design in WebDrive, but
FreeFileSync has a "few degrees of freedom" left to handle this case. The
current approach is to try to always resolve and use UNC paths in order to
handle the "inactive mapped network drive" issue. I refrain from this and take
the opposite approach: reasolve UNC path only for "inactive mapped network
drive".
It seems this may be the better, more compliant solution, but we'll see.
Here's the new version:
[404, Invalid URL: http://ifile.it/hox0du3/FreeFileSync_v3.22_beta6_setup.exe]
I'd appreciate some short update if this is working for you now.

FreeFileSync supports SFTP directly as of version 7.2.
