Hi everyone,
a Kodi music lyrics plugin running in an Android TV saves the lyrics files to an external NAS (Synology ext4).
Some files are saved with weird different codifications:
- two separate files with case difference can sometimes be found coexisting in the same directory: for example "...the Water..." and "...The Water..."
-or also for example two same meaning files "...rondò..."
- one written in utf8 (76.6F.6E.64.C3.B2)
- and another in ansi (76.6F.6E.64.F2)
FreeFileSync is used to backup the NAS and errors happen when it finds a source directory with two files of one of the above type: it will copy the first file and generate an error trying to copy the second, telling that the file already exists...
Maybe FFS could write in the target the two files as found in the source? or overwrite the second file?
I understand that the problem may be an incompatibility of different systems and not of FFS.
This is more like annoying, but anyway someone may have a suggestion?
