I guess I'm not sure what benefit ajcg is suggesting then. If my boot drive was hosed, I'd reinstall Windows (or replace the drive and then reinstall Windows) and then use FreeFileSync to restore certain folders in my Home folder (Documents, Downloads, Desktop, others contained therein). Just to be sure I understand: Your instructions would create a bootable flash drive with FreeFileSync installed which could then be used to restore a bootable "C:" drive from a FreeFileSync backup drive? (I hope I'm asking this question clearly.)
