Apologies, I found another post that answered this question. Turns out I had 2 processes of FreeFileSync running which caused the error. Sorry for wasting a thread.

I'm trying to mirror an external hard drive however whenever I click "Compare", it says:

"Waiting while directory is locked ('F:\sync.ffs_lock')...

What does this mean?
