Re: docs for how to setup RealTime synch

The only thing you seem to have added is how to get it to start when Windows boots, ... Although not on the RealTimeSync (RTS) manual page, even that info is already present not only on the "RTS: Run as a Service" manual page, but also in the RealTimeSync tutorial video . And in the latter case ...

Re: batch jobs lost on update. are they stored somewhere?

With "batch jobs lost" I suppose you are mean FreeFileSync (FFS) sync configurations you saved from the FFS GUI as batch files. If you do so, those sync configurations files are saved in a self selected location under a self selected name, and get the file extension *.ffs_batch . So, you should ...

Re: Versioning Issue - Wrong Folder Date

"Encrypted" suggests the contents would be something secret or shielded. Obviously that is not the case. I suppose Zenju chose the most compact and convenient format for the sync.ffs_db files, and because those are not designed to be accessed by users, and not intended to be modified by users, did ...

Re: Synchronize more than one drive

You can synchronize your two source drives to a single destination drive , but if you Mirror-sync only to two different destination folders . If you Update-sync you could potentially sync to a single destination folder , but only safely if there is no overlap in file-names in your two source drives ...

Re: How to Compare Specific Files by Name in Two Folders?

If you know upfront which files FreeFileSync (FFS) needs to Compare (and if necessary: Sync), you can list those files in your Include Filter . You can do so manually editing your Include Filter (replacing the default * (=everything) by your list of files (relative to the root of your left and right ...

Re: FFS mirror sync not deleting removed folders from Google Drive

I seem to remember a thread in this forum on a similar or the same topic (but failed to find it). If I remember correctly, FFS only deletes files (if necessary for the sync), but does/can not delete folders, in some cases leaving destination side empty orphan folders. This is/was a general issue ...

Running several separate backups can be done just as well with the standard (non-donation) version.
The relevant differences between the standard and the donation version can be found here.

Re: Allow Mirror/Update right-to-left side

I think the choice for just left-to-right for a Mirror or Update sync prevents a lot of mistakes that may cause data-loss, and thus makes sense. If you want to Mirror or Update sync your right-location to your left location, you can simply swap your left and right base location(s) using the circular ...

As suggested multiple times in this forum, instead of using the (often buggy) native MTP protocol of your phone, you can install an sftp server on your phone and sync via FFS using the SFTP protocol.

Re: RealTimeSync Can't Find Batch File

Open the GUI of RealTimeSync (RTS), and then open the faulty saved RTS configuration (*.ffs_real).
In the Command Line field of the GUI, you can then change the path to the specified *.fss_batch file to the correct one, and save the RTS sync configuration again.

It seems the first "backup" (backup1) would be the username on the sftp host HERE-IP. And the second "backup" (backup2) would be a folder named "backup" in the "backup" users storage space on the sftp server. Like in sftp://backup1@1.1.1.1/home/backup2/ But I also found sftp://backup1@1.1.1.1 ...
