Re: realtimesync startup on two PCs

Yes, I watched it on the tutorials page and I just watched it again. At about 2:40 into the tutorial it shows dragging the realtimesync desktop icon into the startup folder which is what I did. Hence my confusion.

Re: realtimesync startup on two PCs

Did I misunderstand the video tutorial? I recall it showed realtimesync being dragged from the desktop to the startup folder. So what you are saying is I should instead copy the RealTime.ffs_real from the save folder to the startup? I did not see that file on my wife's laptop but I'll look again ...

realtimesync startup on two PCs

I have configured and tested the freefilesync function on my wife's laptop and my desktop, both Windows 11 PCs. On both, the batch files are saved with "run-minimized" and auto-close" selected. Show error messages is also selected. I have added the resltimesync to the startup folders on both. The ...

Setting up a recycle bin possible?

I am trying the app on another computer but when I start the sync I am getting a warning:

"The recycle bin is not available for "\\TRUENAS\backup2\Judy\drawings\Artrage".

Ignore and delete permanently each time recycle bin is unavailable?"

Is there a way to create a recycle bin on the ...

Re: Setting up for the first time

Could I get some additional clarification please. Do the folders for the source and destination need to be the same name for this to work? So, for example, if I want to sync folder abc as the source can I designate folder xyz as the destination? I tried and that didn't work for me.

Donating and how does it work

If Freefilesync works for me the way I hope should, and it looks like it will, I will certainly make a donation. My question is since I intend to use it on at least two PC, and maybe a third, would I have to make a donation on all of them or when I make a donation on one will the advanced features ...

Setting up for the first time

I'm following the quick start to test the functionality of this app but need some clarification. I created a directory with one small file in it and want to sync it to my NAS. I selected 2 way with the new folder as the source and the top directory on the NAS I want to sync it to as the destination ...

Looking for specific real time sync features before I try it

This app looks like it might do what I want but I would appreciate some clarification. All my PCs are Windows11. I would like to sync between multiple devices to a local TrueNAS core server. The primary device for the folder is a Windows laptop. The secondary device is a Windows desktop. If the ...
