I know this board is 4 years old now, but I regularly connect to a server that uses explicit FTP over TLS and Filezilla works fine and shows an ftps:// address. Needless to say, even with the explcit SSL/TLS checkbox selected, I still only get ftp:// in freefilesync and it doesn't work.
