RTS does have to be a running process, yes, but so does LaunchAgent. You can have something monitoring for drive presence without it running. It is negligible resource usage, you won't notice it.
RTS is already installed with FFS, so cleanliness also doesn't matter here, aside from an icon showing ...

Hi,
I just installed Freefilesync 14.7 on my Mac Mini M4 running Tahoe 26.3.
I ran a test sync and, after pressing the minimize button in the notification area, I noticed that the icon turned into a yellow "thing" (see attached file).
Is this a bug or something?
