Re: Timestamp issues with NTFS external drives

Can you simplify your scenario and reproduce the problem for syncing a single file only? In this case we could have a deeper look and you could provide me with a
Process Monitor ( https://technet.microsoft.com/de-de/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx ) trace file for analysis.
I see the issue has been ...

Re: Timestamp issues with NTFS external drives

Thank you for that link. I use ESET NOD32 v8 as Antivirus. I've never had this issue with FreeFileSync v6.11 or lower. (I've been using FreeFileSync for 3 years, and I've had the same version of ESET for more than a year).

The issues happen only when syncing to a NTFS disk and NTFS USB keys. My ...

Timestamp issues with NTFS external drives

I use FreeFileSync every day; it's incredible!

I just wanted to point out a bug that occurs only when syncing to NTFS external disks (external HDDs and Flash-memory USB keys). If the external disk or USB key are formatted with FAT32, everything works perfectly. But not with NTFS.

Since v6.12 ...

FreeFileSync keeps re-syncing the same files over and over again

I absolutely love FreeFileSync!
Here's my bug report to help make it even better:
Ever since v6.12 or 6.13 FreeFileSync has been acting strangely. After a sync finishes, and I press the "Compare" button again (just to check if all went well), FreeFileSync keeps finding ~5% of files it just synced ...

small bug: summary stats don't update after a folder gets removed from sync operation

When the user unchecks a folder that FreeFileSync wanted to synchronize, the summary stats don't update at all after that change. Normally after unchecking a folder, the total size and number of files to sync should automatically reduce in number because now 1 folder is excluded from the sync ...

Making FreeFileSync UI even better looking

I'd like to sincerely thank you for creating FreeFileSync! It's truly a great time saver.

Since I like your program so much now, I want to help make it even better, so more people will start using it. Here's a few ideas to make it even more appealing to new users.

1) When I first installed ...

Re: Suggestion for UI improvement

I forgot to add that since above suggestions remove the "Drag & Drop" text, it could still be put in the field where the folder path is to be. Like the new CSS web forms that have gray text appear in the empty field to tell you what to put in the field, but the gray text disappears as soon as you ...

Suggestion for UI improvement

Hi again, and thank you once more for creating FreeFileSync!

Suggestion: All sync.ffs_db files can be put in 1 db file in the FreeFileSync folder

Hi,
Thank you for creating an incredible piece of software!
It is by far the best I've ever found (and I've found many many :) during my quest for the ultimate and the fastest worry-free freeware backup software. It is unbelievably fast!

Here's a couple of suggestions to make it even greater!
