The first rule of your Include Filter is * .
Therefore everything is included, except for items that are explicitly Excluded per the Exclude Filter rules. The next two rules of your Include Filter are therefore obsolete.
And, as xCSxXenon wrote, your Exclude rule *.mkv should be removed, otherwise ...

Thank you for the answers so far, but let me rephrase a little to be more clear.
I have a bunch of folders to sync and they all have huge mkv files.
But of all, only from "General knowledge" I'm interested in saving EVERYTHING there, including mkv files

Include Filter:

General knowledge\*
General knowledge\*.mkv
Exclude Filter:
*.iso
*.zip
*.mkv
I want to "force" the inclusion of mkv files that are located in the folder "General knowledge".

Yes,
the shortcut was made correct.
"/home/test/FreeFileSync/FreeFileSync" %F
The file FreeFileSync is marked as executabile. But if I try to start it from Nemo File Browser for example, nothing happens. If I start Terminal in that location, from there it starts.

99% perfection. I use FFS v.11.7.
After installation the shortcuts from Desktop and Menu do not work. Nothing happens.
It starts only from Terminal. ($ FreeFileSync)
I have tried this on a clean virtual machine with the same results.
Before this, in v.11.5 shortcuts were working fine.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-toolchain-r/test
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gcc-4.9 g++-4.9
but only this has the latest version

I don't understand why ... I have extracted the FreeFileSync_7.9_Debian_8.3_64-bit.tar.gz
and nothing happens when I try to run FreeFileSync or RealTimeSync
and I don't know how to start them from terminal to find out why.
