For copy to cloud storage, file encryption (as an option) make sense for one side.
CryptSync, for example, use 7z libraries to do so.

Of course, some FFS features must be deactivated in the cryptomode.

To reduce time and costs Freefilesync shoud compress data on the way to a destination far away.

- For this it must have a Freefilesync on both ends. (perhaps as a service)
- Both version checks the files needed an update.
- The files be compress localy on both ends
