Ok I found that libunity.so.9 is included into the libunity9 package so I installed it.
sudo apt update
sudo apt install libunity9
Now FreeFileSynk works fine.

I have the same problem on Ubuntu 16.04.01 LTS. I tried the version 8.7 and 8.8 downloaded and unzipped, the file FreeFileSync doesn't work, neither if I click on and if I write the name of the file in a terminal into the correct directory so I can't understand what libraries I need.
