Note: I suspect others may also be using any character less than "A" (x0045) at the beginning a a directory name to force sorting directories to the top on non MS-Windows file systems. Is clicking in the whitespace of the Name box (upper left corner of the screen) supposed to clear/delete your current scan? This seems like a bug. Clicking on a specific save filter filename should change the scan parameters, but not clear your scan until you initiate another ...

Whoops! Never mind, this is user error. I ran the scan on a laptop and was searching for the log file on a desktop. (I am running backups of a NAS to a USB connected to NAS drive, so am bouncing between computers.

Wow - that was fast!
The install went smoothly, with no issues. It installed in the Apps folder. I did rename the app from FreeFileSync.app to FreeFileSync10_1.app. Note that the .key file is located in the download folder. Not sure where the .key file should be located for the app to read it.
