It says Version 10.25.
I have coloured config folders in the left pane which I believe is a later addition
When you say it doesn't matter "which" file gets updated does it need at least one file updated even if not the one that has the versions I want deleted?

Forgive my newbie ignorance but can I clarify I am reading the option on Versioning correctly.
There are 3 options:
Last x days
Minimum
Maximum
Now the way I read it is this..
If I set the "Last x Days" to "30" it will remove a backup file older than 30 days.

I am either not understanding this feature correctly or it's not working for me.
The "version" file created on the 14 Aug at 10.25 is still there. Ive ran the profile many times, rebooted as opposed to sleeping the computer but the file will remain.
Rechecked the option and it still set at Last x ...

Does the profile that set up the version have to be run to delete older files or just any profile?
Does it work purely on date stamp or date + timestamp?
