Can this be related to 6.14 not working on Linux Mint 17.1? Version 6.13 worked OK on that. I use the cinnamon desktop, and posted about this in another thread.

Here's what I get in terminal:

./FreeFileSync: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.20' not found (required by ./FreeFileSync)
The previous version ran fine.

Ubuntu PPA stuck at 6.9
When I installed Linux Mint 17.1 yesterday, I noticed that the newest FFS that I could get through the PPA is 6.9, where the download site has a tar.gz with version 6.12. On checking my old Linux Mint 17 setup, I noticed that I had 6.9 on that too.
