Re: FTP two-way sync?
Sorry for not replying sooner. Using 2 way sync, the DB file should be created on the ftp server. I am not sure why this isn't working though. I see that you do have detect moved files selected. This should cause FFS to create a db file on your server to track deletions.

"Detect Files Moved" not working when syncing 1 folder across 2 computers through an sftp server
Both computers running Windows 10. I know that FFS uses a database file to track file movement, and that this enables the "Detect Files Moved" feature. It works when 1 computer syncs multiple times in a row, however as soon as the other computer syncs to the server, the feature doesn't work anymore ...

Re: FTP Sync error with SD EXT Card on mobile device
To determine if it is an issue with FFS, try transferring the files to the phone using an ftp client(FileZilla, MobaXTerm etc). If you have the same speed issues, then it is something about the way ftp is configured on your phone. If not, then try transferring the files FFS crashed on. If it is ...

Re: LAN Sharing
If you are able to map the drives, then just add each laptop as a folder pair to your destination folder. Set these folder pairs to update the shared folder on the master laptop. Save it as new job.

Re: FTP two-way sync?
As far as I know, FreeFileSync Creates a database file on both sides of the two way sync in the top directory of each side. If your ftp server is clearing the folder of everything including the database file, then FreeFileSync will not know that the file was deleted. I think you need to put an ...

Re: FTP Sync error with SD EXT Card on mobile device
Opening more connections is a feature of the paid version, however really shouldn't matter if opening more channels did not help. Also the SD card may be the issue. Try using a card reader, connecting it to your computer and then syncing the music folder that way. If you have the same issue, then ...

Re: FTP Sync error with SD EXT Card on mobile device
You are transferring many small files, so it will be slower due to seek times. But that is unusually slow for music files. Try opening more ftp connections and channels. If that doesn't help then this is beyond me.

Re: Security Feature Request
I'm not saying this isn't a decent feature to have, but if somebody has compromised your computer then they will have the files you are synchronizing to google anyways, as well as access to any saved passwords in your browsers. If they logged in as you, then they can log into your browser passwords ...

Re: Adware or Malware?
Freefilesync passes the malwarebytes scan and most definately is not malware. I agree that it is probably the best filesync program out there for me. Please read this quote from the FAQ page

Re: FTP Sync error with SD EXT Card on mobile device
That error looks like a timeout error meaning it took too long to make a connection. Maybe increase the "access timeout" in your ftp settings. Alternatively it could be timing out because of insufficient permissions on the sd card which could be blocking ftp write access.

Database conflicts/overwrites/deletions when syncing to central folder from multiple computers?
I am curious how the databases work. I am currently running an sftp server via a raspberrypi and I synchronize multiple computers to the same directory on this device. I am using two way synchronization with "Detect moved files" checked.
