Thanks for the reply, I tried both your methods with hopes they'd be sufficient. But found both readouts way more confusing to view and decipher what to include or exclude compared to selecting boxes in a file manager type readout. I will have to use SyncBackFree for this type of mirror.

Re: Confused
I think I've found the culprit. The way FFS works I'm going to have to put the lowest common include folder in the left source path. I can't just put C:\ and then just fill in selected includes. I have to put the * at the lowest common folder or it finds nothing. So I will have to put this as the ...
Confused
I been trying out FFS now for about 3 weeks, and have run several custom jobs that involved either entire source folders and/or entire source drives. All of my jobs are simple one way Mirror syncs. Everything went smooth with no issues until today I configured a job for my main C drive with several ...

Wildcard filter question
Appreciate any help or input this.
(1) I have app created files that I don't need to Mirror that have different names but the same extension, like 2f8b7d3c55d88d.CBM and they are created on all my drive partitions.
I need to exclude these files with the extension of .CBM and if possible not also ...

Re: Working while syncing
I sometimes run mine with other stuff running as long as I'm not syncing what's being ran elsewhere. But even so I would think it still can be done but the sync would reflect the last save of an item which might not be current if it's process is running simultaneously. Here are things to be aware of ...

Re: Mirror Update question
I've done more testing on this, if I go 5 to 6 days before syncing my email Profile folder the more far reaching folder/file structure is sync'd. But I found this has more to do with how my email client app updates it profile structure. I.e. even just downloading a few emails when I look at the ...

Mirror Update question
I've always used FFS to mirror my office USB (backup) to my home Laptop and it worked great. Recently I started using it to backup (Mirror) some of my home Laptop data to external USB storage. Yesterday I mirrored a 2 gig first run of my email folders, it took about 6 to 7 mins to complete. Today I ...

Faster than Backup
I've used backup apps Genie9 and Backup4All in the past doing Full/Incrementals. I have my settings set to update the destination of ANY changes to the source drive, so even though it's incremental it functions much like a Mirror. I.e. I don't care about old versions. Just the fastest reliable way ...
