I accidentally dragged a window and now cannot get back to the default layout, no matter how I drag the windows around.

Is there an easy way to reset the layout?

This is a straightforward Mirror sync, most settings are default. My Mac just says the system was restarted due to an issue, in the middle of the Sync job.

Are you sure about the price? When I go to the website you posted and look at pricing the bandwidth manager is $49 for a single user license. If it really is well over $100 can recommend a couple of other$50 programs that will also do the job.

Thanks for the suggestions. Chopping up the sync would be too complicated and hard to maintain. Scheduling killing of the task would leave a mess - example leaving "lock" files which cause errors on subsequent runs.

I have access to the router but there are no QOS or scheduling or bandwidth control ...

Yeah I'm looking for a cleaner solution, within the app. Randomly killing the app, in the middle of the sync, could leave stuff messed up, the FFS databases wouldn't be updated, files could be corrupted or not able to resume etc.

Is it possible to sync timestamps (without copying)? I have over 20TB to download from Gdrive and repopulate a NAS. For some reason the timestamps on some files are out of sync so a comparison by date and size flags mismatches.

Won't that mean that (whilst idle), file or folder changes won't be actioned for hours? This would just be introducing another problem.

A simple option to rescan on completion would solve everything.

I posted about this before - I am using RealTimeSync to monitor a number of folders. My syncs often take many hours and during this time other files have often changed. These are not picked up during the sync so are only actioned on the next subsequent file change or if I manually run the rescan ...

I have two primary use cases. Some examples:

1. I want to sync several large TV series or a 4K Movie - say 50GB+. This would take 5 hours+ with my max upload speed. This occurs every few days.

2. I upload a single TV ep (say 1GB or less) to a folder I share with a friend, for them to be able to ...

I'd have to increase my idle time to 14, 16 or more hours. That's not suitable at all.

Scheduled tasks completely negates the file monitoring capabilities. I want my files synced as soon as possible after I've changed them.

The above is very messy and is platform-specific.

Ideally the sync itself should pick up that there have been further changes and there'd be an option to re-run in this scenario.

I'm using RealTimeSync to trigger my sync runs but these can run for many hours. By the end there have typically been more files changed within the scanned folders but these are "missed" and not picked up until the next change is detected.

Any way to force a further sync check at the end of the run?

I have three shared drives on my NAS (mapped to Windows drives) that I am mirroring to GDrive. Running on Windows 10, latest version of FFS with realtimesync monitoring one of the drives. I keep getting this in the log:

Cannot read database file "Z:\sync.ffs_db".
File content is corrupted ...

I have it set to retry and it doesn't give an error, it just stops the directory read and starts the retry countdown each time. Is there a log somewhere?

I am trying to run a large sync job between my NAS and Gdrive and the app is losing the Gdrive connection part way through the initial comparison whilst reading the Gdrive folder tree. I have it set to retry but it has so far failed to recover each time.

Issue has been fixed for the next version. Turns out item from "Shared with me" that are referenced from "My Drive" via shortcuts do not have any parents (as far as your own Google Drive is concerned). Also, next version will have full support for Google Drive shortcuts (= basically Symbolic Links ...

This is not using RTS - it is using an FFS batch file called every 30 minutes.

The reason is that I already have an RTS job monitoring and syncing two local folders Mac <> NAS. Note its not monitoring Gdrive.

Is it possibly interference between the two?

My sync is using two specific left-right folder pairs, that's why I don't understand how other files are even being looked at.

On my Google Drive I have top level folders including "NAS", "Downloads", "Vira" and "Sreyneang".

The files appearing in the error message are all located in the NAS folder. I'm only trying to sync the last two folders above.
