Probably nothing.
(By default, or always, not sure particularly, but in any case) "equal" files are not shown - but can be.
Bottom statusbar, click the '=' icon.

Re: Using the option to compare file contents yields false comparison errors
I also sync the same source to another location Also over the network? This time only one file was found to be different. I performed a CRC check of both the source and destination files. Here is what I found: The MD5 hash for both files is identical. The SHA256 hash for both files is identical. So...

FFS version, 13.4? Free or Donation version (though I don't believe that should matter in the case of the FreeFileSync_x64.exe file)? And it is only the timestamp that differs (date is the same)? If you were to download (13.4) again, do the two downloads (hash or content) compare? And if they do, if...

Re: Fixing missing modification times on Windows 11 files
the files that were being copied had a blank modification time on the original drive I wonder if there is actually a "NOT" date (instead of a date < 1-1-70)? Using a file date 12-31-69, that date does show up as 12-31-69 in FFS (& even though it shows as blank in Windows Explorer). Li...

I haven't been able to find a utility that would perform that function What have you tried? 1970-01-01 From what I can tell, a file dated before 1-1-70 displays with no date - in Windows Explorer. It does still have a date, it is only that Windows Explorer does not display it. (At least in Win7. An...

Agreed. This reads like some tool on the destination computer accesses and modifies (or at least changes the modified date of) said 32 files after they are written there.

What OS? (I don't know the business version specifically, but...) Check to see if there is a "Registered.dat" file in FFS's installation_dir/Resources/? If not, see if manually coping the .key file into there, & renaming it to "Registered.dat" then gives you a registered vers...

Update vs. Custom sync, new vs. existing GUI
Update vs. Custom sync, new vs. pre-existing .GUI ... just noting... an oddity... If you have an existing sync (LastRun.ffs_gui), & it is an Update sync, with the 'Use database' option selected, if you then deselect the 'Use database', & OK that, it then shows as a Custom sync. Just odd. (Do...

Re: Move Filses after sync
If after a sync has been run, you parse the .log file, & for every "Verifying file" entry in the log, if you then moved all those associated source files out of the source directory, then the only files left in source would be new files that ended up in there during or after the last s...

Re: Problems with files without extension
Explain?
So a file "in the cloud" has a name, without an extension.
So something like, "anamewithoutanextension".
And you're looking to sync
from cloud:\\anamewithoutanextension to c:\backups\
but... ?
What cloud?
What type of sync?
Do you have any (non-default) Filters set?

On my end, while a sync is in progress, Paused or not, I/O or not, if I (on Windows) "Show Desktop" (Winkey+M), I can catch a momentary ghost, but that's the extent of it. If I actually minimize the FFS window itself, there is no ghosting at all. Maybe Windows "Aero" (theme) is p...

Seemingly you can disable mtime on Linux systems so maybe that was specifically done, or maybe the Java end is specifically doing that for some odd reason?
