FFS tasks run in background without any GUI

OS is windows 10 pro 64 bit, FFS version 8.0

I have a task scheduled to run at the end of an disk image creation. It simply runs a ffs_batch file.

I also have a scheduled task to run weekly via task scheduler.

However neither of these tasks show any GUI whilst running, there is no window, active or minimised. The only reason I know the task is running properly is disk activity in task manager. However they always run to completion and create a log file.

Here is the batch job settings:

Is there any fix? I would like to sort this issue as at the moment I cannot monitor the progress of the backup, nor handle errors, nor have it show the completion window.

Many Thanks

Thanks Zenju for all your efforts with your fabulous program.

I'm observing that "run only when user is logged on" versus "run whether user is logged on or not" is what controls whether or not the GUI presents when a .ffs_batch file gets called by Windows Task Scheduler.

"run only when user is logged on" is what allows the GUI to present.

I'd like to be able to see the GUI while still allowing your program to run when my user account isn't logged in (E.G. windows has rebooted and is sitting at the logon screen)

Perhaps it's such that FFS doesn't have a means to discern if a user is logged on or not? ...and if it were to execute it's GUI file(s) when a user isn't logged in FFS would crash or at least fail to sync?

I'm guessing that's also related to how Task Scheduler jobs do not finish if a user sets it to "run whether user is logged on or not" and doesn't select Progress Dialogue -> Auto-Close. It might help to warn folks about these things on the awesome TUTORIAL you put together for folks scheduling batch jobs.

I greatly appreciate your insight.

Have there been any updates to this topic? I would like to be able to see the FFS GUI while still allowing the program to run when my user account is not logged in.
