I use FFS as a Google Drive client, and when I try to make sure that my files are not broken in the cloud, I use "Compare by content" feature.
FFS seems to download each file from GDrive, and compares hashes locally, but I think we have another option.
I'm pretty sure that GDrive have API to fetch file hashes, so maybe we can try to rely on remotely calculated hashes for comparison by file contents?
Or at least add an option to compare this way...

I didn't see an API to achieve this. Others out there have figured out ways to get the hashes, but not with an API, and it requires some not-so plug-and-play stuff. They have notated using scripts, programs, and enabling things in the account settings.
MD5 checksum is a field in the JSON metadata for a file though, so maybe it's easier than expected?

It should be super strange if they won't have an API for getting hashsums, that's basic stuff, and they show it in GUI, and the official GDrive client absolutely use it... Anyway, I'd like to see this feature in future versions. FFS is already the best GDrive client, and with momentary integrity checking, it should become way above the competition!
