Hello,
I just cloned my HD last night and after that seemed successful, put it into my system to check and be sure everything cloned properly. It did, but when I opened FFS I got a message saying I had FFS on 9 installations and I needed to upgrade to a commercial license. In actuality, I've only ever had it on 2 systems. Apparently every time I clone my system with FFS on it, it counts that as an install, which you keep count of, even though the actual clones are really only there as a backup should the current system SSD drive fail. Is there anyway to deactivate it before cloning? Or should I just save the .gui files off the system, uninstall FFS, make the clone, and then do a fresh install, moving the .gui files back in so they are accessible?
If I delete FFS from my system, do you adjust the installation counts accordingly?
Or what would you suggest?
Cloning my current disk messes up your install count

Are you using Linux? viewtopic.php?t=8885
I'm guessing you are booting the clones just to verify they work? If so, just don't open FFS and maybe that won't trigger an activation? Devices can be removed from your count via your unique download link.

How can I determine the "unique download link"?
