Hello, posting here as no amount of Googling has helped me so far. For the past 6 months or so, FreeFileSync has had half of it's features just not working; I didn't notice, as I really only used it for the one already-setup sync, but in trying to add a second config today I ran into the issue.

Basically, several features don't work at all. Trying to Save or Save As a config does nothing (no window or error of any kind), and also makes it so the app won't close without killing the process in the System Monitor.

Also, clicking the "Add connection" button in the online storage menu does nothing, again no popup or error of any kind, so I cannot add any Google Drive connections.

The options menu to switch to "Dark Mode" is completely ignored, and just remains in light mode.

Weirdly, the "Save As Batch" button does work.

I'm at my wits end, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times through the Discovery store (including wiping all user and config info), and even uninstalled the Gnome libraries and reinstalled those, and no change. I've of course restarted the system several times, including several full shutdowns. Google hasn't come up with anyone having even close to my same issues. Other than reformatting the entire deck (which I do not want to do), I'm not sure what else can be done. Please help me.

I am on a Steam Deck (desktop mode), using FreeFileSync 14.9 Flatpak installed through the Discover store.

Aaaaand it's mysteriously fixed itself. I have no explanation, all I've done since the last post is get frustrated, switch back to game mode, and play a few rounds of Monster Train 2. I don't understand how that would've fixed anything (I restarted and ended up in gaming mode several times debugging above), esp since this has been broken for months, but alas. If you came here from a Google search I'm sorry I can't be more help, maybe try playing Monster Train 2, it's fun

Okay wait, I can think of one thing that might've changed, if it helps someone in the future: while trying to find things to change, I did go to System Settings > Session, and changed Session Restore option "On login, launch apps that were open:" from the default of "On last logout" to "Start with an empty session". So maybe something in the session cache was causing the issue? No way for me to test it myself now, but if it saves anyone on the internet some sanity later lmk
