Behavior when sync is interrupted

Hi. First-timer on the Forum, but a long-time user. I don't see my question addressed in either the Forum or the Help manual, so...

I'm mirror-syncing a 709 GB fileset over my home wi-fi (don't ask). The connection was interrupted, but I was impressed that FreeFileSync offered a Retry button, which I used. It seemed to pick up where it left off. Full marks to Zenju for checkpointing.

Now my question: My laptop (the source computer) seems to develop a massive network slowdown whenever I transfer files for a long period. I don't know why, but it can be cured by rebooting the laptop. If I interrupt the transfer (push "Stop") in order to reboot, is the only file affected the one being transferred at the time? That is, are the already-synced files preserved, or will I have to restart the entire 709 GB transfer?

Thanks.

Correct.

As long as you are sure that none of the files you want to sync have changed due to the restart, there is no need to run a new compare.
