First I appreciate Freefilesync a lot. It's doing almost everything I want for it.
However, I have two complaints.
1- I always turn off check for updates. I always do it with every program FFS no exception. But it turns itself back on. Apparently particularly when there's a new version available. So it is secretly communicating in the background. I don't like this. I don't want messages about new versions to appear when I have a job to do and when I have turned those off before. I also don't want to have them visible in the menu bar all the time. When it's time to download and install an update, I can go to your website and download and install it at a moment that suits me. You don't have to tell me or even force it upon me.
2- The detect moved files functionality seems limited. It works when I have edited photo's and the editor puts the original in a subfolder. But e.g. when I organise my software library and move drivers for the HP 8200 from \HP 8200 to \HP\8200 this is not recognized. Sometimes I have file structures with gigabytes to backup so gigabytes of moves are actually wasted.
I hope you take notice of user remarks and make FFS even better, with respect for the user privacy.
Thanks for FFS!

Have a look here viewtopic.php?t=4542&p=15780#p15759 it could be related to the file system you use...2- The detect moved files functionality seems limited. It works when I have edited photo's and the editor puts the original in a subfolder.Vansloneker, 22 Oct 2017, 08:50
