Hi
When FreeFileSync is closing I always get the following message:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cannot write file "C:\Program Files (x86)\FreeFileSync\GlobalSettings.xml".
Error Code 5: Access is denied. (CreateFile)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am using Windows 10 and the file "Cannot write file "C:\Program Files (x86)\FreeFileSync\GlobalSettings.xml"." does exist and is not 'Read only'
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

You're using the portable version, which should not be placed into "C:\Program Files (x86)" (=> that's where locally installed apps go).

The file "C:\Program Files (x86)\FreeFileSync\GlobalSettings.xml" does exist and it was put there by Freefilesync but when I close the programme it says it can't write to it!
If it shouldn't go on C drive where should it go?
Thanks

The portable version goes in a folder other than the program files folders. Usually this is a USB flash drive
