I'm not sure if this is a bug, or a math anomaly given rounding up of the percentage of a job being complete, but I saw the window show 100% complete, but then noticed it said a number of files were still being copied over. Shouldn't the application at least reflect "99% complete" up until it IS 100% completed?
Thanks,
Van

"99.93% rounds up to 100%"
Yes, I understand, that, but it shouldn't report 100% complete until it IS 100% complete. Until then, 99.x% should report 99%.

I don't know. It seems to be a matter of convention and/or expectation.but it shouldn't report 100% complete until it IS 100% complete. Until then, 99.x% should report 99%. renierv, 07 Nov 2022, 19:07

I've always shared this opinion personally. If it isn't done, it should never say 100%. Does it bother me when it does, only a little, and only out of my perfectionism LOL
I really only encounter it with Windows updates though, it's pretty rare to have a scenario where something reports 100% long enough for me to notice it isn't actually done yet.
Does it really matter? Not really. It takes the same amount of time either way
You could add a floor function if you cared enough. Easy to add, but then lower percentages aren't "as accurate". Meh It's like when your car says your tank is empty even though there is some 'reserve' leftover. Accurate enough

Okay, let's round progress percentage numbers down in the next FreeFileSync release.
