Hi, and thanks for this great app.
Firstly, I had used FreeFileSync a couple of years ago and on my main computer the backups are going well, still, so I know I didn't have a problem in the past.
I have now decided to use FreeFileSync on my laptop, so I downloaded it and made a donation. BUT, there seems to be some things I cant work out.
I am trying to create the first backup file (mirror) but it isn't behaving as I remember.
•1. I open FreeFileSync with Admin rights.
Drag and drop wont work, browsing does.
•2. I select the folder which contains sub-folders and files (nothing to large or over the top) The structure example;
Main Folder (selected and consists of)
Sub-folder-1
Sub-folder-2
Sub-folder-3 etc
File-1
File-2
File-3 etc
•3. I select the destination folder/drive. (It is an external hard drive, 300GB of 500GB)
- I click compare. Files show up but no sub-folders are visible anywhere. This will be a Mirror job.
BUT if I create a test folder on my computer (not external drive) and click compare, all the folders are there and ready to sync.
There is noting wrong with the external drive, I still use it all the time and there is 300GB free space.
I am doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated. I have a competent knowledge of computing, but not expert. Please let me know what you need from me so you can help me troubleshoot this issue. (I tried to keep my issue as simple as possible in this post)
Thanks for any help and thank you for such fine software!

Please Ignore.
For some reason due to the fact the files were already on the external drive (Previous Allwaysync mirror backups) it wasn't showing any folders like on attached image 1.
After creating an empty folder on the external and pointing the mirror job to that folder, it is now showing the folders as in attached image 2. I don't understand why but I am happy it is working.
I don't understand why drag and drop isn't working though.
Cheers.

Click the "=" icon below the results. There are already 8k files in sync and the only new ones are probably not in subfolders
