Any folder/names having an umlaut like ä ü ö cannot be synchronized, FFS does recognize the right name.
The issue comes up on:
> MACOS 15.2 (Windows 10 is ok)
> Sync between iCloud-drive and ASUSTOR share folders
When I remove the umlaut characters it works
Have tested down to FFS 13.0, same issues
Not capable to consider umlaut characters

The question for me would be:
1. Why is it running under Windows with an issue and not on MACOS?
2. How are other utilities managing that?

Wrong URL. Apple SMB has many problems, the one in the URL above was about case-sensitivity. Here's the relevant one:

It's a "bug" by whoever programmed the SMB implementation on macOS, most likely Apple themselves. Apple doesn't like SMB (= Windows) very much and wants you to use APFS.1. Why is it running under Windows with an issue and not on MACOS? AlGo, 28 Jan 2025, 13:41
Probably they aren't. Even Finder fails silently (unlike FFS) and simply doesn't show these files. There is no general solution that I'm aware of. Except for "hacks" like forcing NFC during SMB mount.2. How are other utilities managing that? AlGo, 28 Jan 2025, 13:41
