I've been using FFS since its inception waaay back then, and SWEAR that if I changed my view, e.g. showing only the files that will be copied from left to right, that that was what it did. It would NOT copy/sync files that were hidden from view. (I use FFS to sync only NEW files to the server. Most of the time I don't need for it to sync changes.)
Tonight, I noticed in the log that even though I hid the changed files from view, only leaving the new files visible, everything got synced.
Even a tutorial video from 8yrs ago clearly states that just because you hide fiels from view doesn't mean they won't get synced.
Was that EVER a feature? And if it wasn't, shouldn't it be to give us a simple way to no sync stuff we don't want to sync? I'm aware I can create a custom syn setting, but I thought using the view buttons would be super quick and simple.
Do I need to get my drinking water surveyed? Mandela effect?
Anybody can shed light on this, please?
Thank you!!!
Did FFS EVER only sync the files that are shown in the sync panels? Am I hallucinating?

This has never been a feature of FFS. Hiding files in the preview pane does not affect their syncing.

Thank you for replying. I guess I need to step up my game with doing more puzzles, and getting Omega-3 supplements for increased brain function? :)This has never been a feature of FFS. Hiding files in the preview pane does not affect their syncing. lexirose, 24 Jun 2025, 12:42
Do you think such a feature would be helpful, though?
