Hey all.

Been using the donation edition on windows for some years without issue, and recently switched to linux as my daily driver, but was using the non-donation flatpack version which worked fine. Decided to re-donate and use the donation edition, DL'd the zip, ran the .run file etc, installer ran and no issues thrown, but the app won't launch at all.

Wondering if this is a known issue, or maybe i can use the .key file to upgrade the regular flatpack version to the donation edition somehow?

You first unzipped the download, right?

Yup, ran the .run
Even changed the install directory which got it to launch, but seems to be running on some non-gtk theme with serious windows 2000 vibes.

Would love a way to upgrade the flatpack to donation edition, or have an appimage maybe.

Hi,
What version of Fedora are you running? I am in the process of installing Fedora 42 desktop to reproduce a different bug for a different program but I can try installing free file sync donation Edition into Fedora 42 and see what happens.

Ok, I was able to successfully install free file sync in Fedora however I can't run it.

The error is error starting /opt/FreeFileSync/Bin/FreeFileSync_x86_64 gtk 2.0 was not found.

I ran
sudo yum install gtk2

Now it runs.
