I'm new to FFS but not to the concept of syncing.
I bought a new external SSD and (not yet knowing about FFS) I backed up 4 disparate folders from my Windows C: drive using TeraCopy. I backed up
C:\USERS\M\DOCUMENTS
C:\USERS\M\PICTURES
C:\USERS\M\DESKTOP
C:\USERS\M\ONEDRIVE
to
E:\DataOnly\(with documents, pictures, etc. here), so that documents, pictures, desktop and OneDrive and all their subfolders were copied to E:\DataOnly.
I had hoped to be able to see, in the comparison results, not just the differences, but ALL the files (source and destination), and whether they match OR NOT.
Is that not how FFS works? Will it only show me differences?
Additionally - it's listing files from "My Music," though that is in c:\users\m\music and I'm not including that as a source folder.
New to FFS - confused

There are filters at the bottom of the comparison results. What folder pairs did you set up in FFS? If you set up only a single pair syncing your entire use folder, of course the Music directory will also display

Sorry - I should’ve specified that my folder pairs match the 4 sets of folders that I backed up with TeraCopy. So C:\USERS\M\DOCUMENTS to E:\DATAONLY\DOCUMENTS, etc. There are filters at the bottom of the comparison results. What folder pairs did you set up in FFS? If you set up only a single pair syncing your entire use folder, of course the Music directory will also display xCSxXenon, 18 Feb 2026, 00:40
So the music folder, being outside of those folder structures, should NOT be included.

I think I found the source of my confusion: the "Show files that are equal" button at the bottom was not "on."
I'm also seeing that TeraCopy copied the folder for My Music, though no files into that folder. I'm not sure why FFS was listing files for that folder on the C: drive, but it seems resolved, now ... ?
I'm understanding how it's working a little better, now.
Thanks!
