Freefile sync not deleting files on google drive via googledrive for desktop

Hi

I seem to have an issue with FFS not deleting some files in a folder on google drive

I am using the paid version of FFS

Here is the background ..

I am moving files between my windows laptop and googledrive (and in fact the same files to onedrive and icloud drive)

In order to do that I have downloaded the Google Drive Desktop from the google website and its known as drive G after being installed

My source drive is my C drive, my target drive is my G drive (googledrive) (and as it happens the paths to the local onedrive and icloud drive locations on my laptop)

My sync schema is to mirror absolutely the folder and file structure from the source drive to the target drive.

The bit of software I am using to generate the files is set to create autobacks on the C drive of some data files that have been accessed and then auto delete them after 3 days. They start with "candc"

What you will see from the attachment is that older "candc" files that have been deleted on my windows laptop (when viewed on windows explorer on both C drive and google drive desktop app that has mapped it as G dont exist.

But the view from a web browser directly into the folder on googledrive, old candc files still exist - the sync hasnt deleted them but windows thinks they have been deleted

The correctly deleted files are not appearing in onedrive or iclouddrive when I look at them via web browsers, so it seems to be just on google drive

I dont have other files on google drive tht shouldnt be there ... they seem to have been deleted

I'm a bit confused ... dont know if this is something in this specific folder and/or peculiar to google drive (I'm not happy that google drive for desktop shows different files between the windows and online version and have asked google if they can shed any light)

I have seen many problems syncing to the G-Drive desktop app. What if you use the native G-Drive feature in FFS?
