New User- New Button grayed out

Just dl'd the free version and then donated and dl'd the pay version and the New button is still grayed out!

I uninstalled and reinstalled the pay version and it's still grayed out!

When I open the ap the "About" screen says I have the donation edition, but the new button is still grayed out and I can't start using this!
