I have several computers I synchronize to my NAS. I find that I can only use the update mode because of the problem I describe below.
I have two computers A and B. They are meant for different things so they don't have the same information. If computer A has a directory XXX and computer B does not, computer B will try to delete directory XXX if I run FFS in synchronize mode. Therefore I only run in update mode.
I never run rsync or robocopy in purge/merge/delete mode because of this.
Other than that, FFS is pretty good. I like the interface and how it shows progress when updating my NAS. Sometime the files are big and tack minutes to copy.
BTW, FFS copies as fast as anything else I have tried if you use the multithread feature.

You create the problem yourself by having computer A and computer B sync e.g. to one and the same location on the NAS.
Simply create different shares, or at least different folders on your NAS, e.g. CompA and CompB, and have computer A run its sync to the CompA sher or folder on your NAS, and computer B to the CompB share or folder.
