I am mirroring 2 external drives, but when i run freefilesync, it seems to be writing files to my hard drive.
Why is it doing this - it is basically filling up my hard drive.
Thanks.

If you sync between two external drives, the only files that get written locally by FFS are:
* the global-settings file (GlobalSettings.xml)
* the log-file (normally in the users AppData\Roaming\FreeFileSync\Logs folder)
* and, if configured like that, files from Versioning

these are my settings.
I don't know what else to check.
But when i hit synchronise, the space on my drive starts to decrease.

Share a screenshot of your paths in FFS
Run "Disk Inventory X" and see where the space is going

It's a program that you download, it tells you where your space is being used
