I'm a potential new user of FreeFileSync but need to know if it will handle my specific situation. I have a laptop with two internal solid-state storage devices, Drive D and Drive E. I have a single external hard-disk drive that I use for backup. Is it possible to create a single configuration that mirrors folders from both Drive D and Drive E to the external hard drive in one operation? If not, would I need to partition the external hard drive, assign a different partition to each internal drive, and create a configuration for each drive/partition? Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

No problem.
Just create (at least) two left-right folder pairs.
Assuming your external backup-drive is called F: , make your first left-right folder pair e.g.
D:\[path-to-source-folder-on-D] => F:\BackupD1
and the second pair
E:\[path-to-source- folder-on-E] => F:\BackupE1

So, also if you need more left-right pairs, make sure the destination locations on F: are all different and do not mutually fully or partially overlap.

Your explanation makes sense. I clicked the link you included and saw the example. That will work perfectly for my situation and will save a TON of time. Thanks, very much!
